I had an amazing experience at Advanced Alternatives! Leisa did a wonderful addressing my forearm, elbow, and shoulder pain. She is very friendly, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. Highly recommend their deep tissue massage therapy!
Leisa is absolutely amazing! Started to come see her regularly and my hips and back feel better than they have in years. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has really helped with pain and mobility.
This was the worst massage I've ever had. The massage therapist was obviously very uncomfortable with me and my medical history and when I tried to say that was ok and leave (more than once), she kept pressuring me and made me feel like I had to stay. I tried to give her a chance but she talked through the entire session and was INCREDIBLY anxious, which made it impossible for me to relax. She kept expressing concern about hurting me. She did not start applying any real pressure until the last ten minutes of the 90 minute session. I kept telling her I was not super fragile or made of glass. The thing that really makes me angry was that I talked to Ra and had either him or Leisa recommended to me. Leisa called to reschedule because she would be out of town, and I feel like the focus was on making sure they made money and that I came in and not what or who was best for me. I will be canceling my second appointment and not coming back. The massage was not special in any way, and I could have gotten a similar treatment for far less money from a therapist who wasn't terrified of my body. At the end Candice tried arguing with me about the next scheduled session and that I should stay with her instead - that it would be a lot for me to have to repeat my history etc. and start all over with someone else.
I had an incredible experience at Advanced Alternative Massage Therapy. The business was immaculate, fresh, and welcoming, with a soothing aroma that immediately set a relaxing tone. Leisa was amazing. She listened carefully, targeted the areas causing me pain, and completely relieved the tension in my shoulders and elbows. I left feeling refreshed and pain free. I highly recommend Advanced Alternatives. I was struggling with a 6 month long flare up of TMJ and arthritic upper cervical constriction. Leisa's skill in myofascial release and intraoral massage were key in getting me going in the right direction. Her warm nature, patient explanations and determination to fit me in, despite some busy weeks, were all part of her going above and beyond. I'm so grateful!!!
