I had a very disappointing experience with Star Health Insurance. I have been trying to close my policy for over a month now. I raised multiple tickets through the app, but they were repeatedly closed without any proper resolution or clear explanation. I am an NRI and currently living outside India, so it is not possible for me to visit a branch office in person. To make things worse, the Star Health app does not function properly outside India, which makes it even more difficult to manage or close my policy. When I contacted my agent for assistance, he initially responded but later completely stopped replying to my WhatsApp messages and never completed the cancellation process. Being ignored while trying to close a policy is extremely unprofessional. I was also told that I could not update my bank details after closing my bank account and would instead need to cancel my existing policy and purchase a new one — which meant losing the premium rate I had previously locked in. This was very frustrating. On top of that, my gender was incorrectly reflected in the app, and despite following up multiple times, it was never corrected. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and unresolved issues have made this a very stressful experience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Star Health Insurance.
All Officers & Staff is very co operative. No issue with any one in person but need to imporove support when there is claim. Its not at all fault of any one but system need to improve. All heigher authority contact numbers and email need to display on reception notice board.
Not sure how the other 90 reviews are all positive, appears to be paid ones. In actual, star health is worst policy,; please do yourself a favor and do not buy / renew from star health. Not to mention their customer care is hopeless. Nor they are able to asnwer the queries, they also keep refering to other star offices. Star customer care seems like old time govt office....
