As a father, I do not think I fully understood how powerful a birth experience could be until we walked through the doors of The Natural BirthHouse. From the moment we arrived, Midwife Jamie, Midwife Kira, Midwife Assistant Tamra, and Birthhouse Staff treated my wife, my baby, and me like family, not patients. There was never fear, pressure, or rushing. Just calm confidence, warmth, and a deep respect for what a woman’s body is capable of. Watching my wife labor and bring our daughter into the world through a WaterBirth💧was one of the most incredible things I have ever witnessed. The room was peaceful, grounded, and filled with reassurance. And because of the trust and guidance of the midwives, our daughter was born straight into her father’s hands, a moment I will carry with me for the rest of my life. When Rosalie Mae LeBlanc was born on 12.17. 2025, she entered the world gently and calmly. The midwives moved with such skill and confidence that I never once felt worried. They knew exactly when to step in and when to let nature do what it was designed to do. What stood out most was how deeply they cared about my wife’s experience. They were not just delivering a baby. They were protecting her peace, her dignity, and her strength. That is something I will always be grateful for. To any father reading this, if you want your wife to feel safe, empowered, and truly supported during one of the most important moments of her life, The Natural BirthHouse is where you want to be. I would trust this team with my family again without hesitation. Thank you, Jamie, Kira, Tamra, and staff at The Natural Birth Center for giving our daughter such a beautiful, gentle start and for giving us a birth experience we will treasure forever. -Nate, Hilari, and Baby Rosalie LeBlanc
We had a beautiful experience with The Natural Birth house this previous year. Working with the midwives and trainees was an experience like I’ve never had before. They were extremely thorough at every single appointment, always making sure the baby and I were set up for the best pregnancy and birth experience. Everyone in the office is so friendly and uplifting! When the time came to have my sweet baby, I was allowed a calm and quiet space. There was an issue during labor that I had to transfer out (of my own personal will) and my midwives stayed with me and checked in on me after labor and finished out my care even with an unexpected hospital transfer. Overall, my experience with the natural birth house is one I will never forget and would recommend any mom who wants to have a natural, safe birth!
I had the most beautiful birth thanks to the incredible midwives at The Natural Birth House! I felt genuinely heard, seen and cared for from my first visit, to my last visit 6 weeks postpartum. When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to explore different birth options outside of the hospital. This was my first baby and I wanted to enjoy every step as much as possible. I’m so grateful to Jamie and Tamera for their support during such an exciting and let’s-be-honest nerve-wracking time! Their support before, during and after labor will never be forgotten. Thanks to them I had the most beautiful birth and brought a healthy baby boy into the world. Forever thankful!! ❤️
The midwives at the Natural Birth house in short felt more like family than just health care professionals. I was under their care from about 20 weeks pregnant to 6 weeks postpartum and I’m so glad that I chose to be under their care. They were professional, while also being personal and considerate. After giving birth, I realize just how difficult labor and delivery can be 😂 with a 26 hour long active labor and 4 day prior prodromal labor. They did everything they could to make the active labor portion as comfortable as possible and even though it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I would totally go back to them again for my next baby, God willing. Also, I highly recommend water births.
Every birth story I hear from The Natural Birthhouse breaks my heart, because we were unable to have our baby here. The experience is still difficult and troublesome to recount, much less to publicly post on Google. To be succinct the pre-birth checkups were very helpful and supportive. For the birth itself, I felt neglected and uncertain of what to do when and of what was happening with my baby. A part of me - I am sad to say - might always carry the weight of regret for simply being in Louisiana and having only one option for delivery out-of-hospital, which was this place. We gave it our all, and I wish the midwife who was present would have helped me differently... in a more interactive way. I recall a sense of feeling alone as the hours ticked by. The owner of the company was the person I originally contacted and spoke to; she has a YouTube channel. Later I learned she was very hands off as a midwife, and the only time I met her was just before they transferred me to hospital. I never heard from her again, except through scripted emails. The transition to the hospital was nightmarish - not knowing where to go or park or what door to enter, all while the contractions escalated. Noone from the BirthHouse staff accompanied us, but I can say my widwife came in to the delivery room once I was pushing. She helped advocate for me at times, too. I was reluctant to share this story for many reasons, but I believe a well-rounded representation deserves existing. If I had any advice to impart to a first time mother: expect a transfer to the hospital when working with midwives, because they dare not risk their ability to practice by doing anything that seems "risky" in this state (Louisiana). I don't think it is this way everywhere. For someone birthing their second child and on, they have been through the birthing process before. They know and their bodies know what to do. For a second pregnancy and on, I do recommend the BirthHouse.
