Ridiculous refund policy. They take the premium in advance and thereafter force you to accept their revised counter offer and if you don't accept it they drag their feet over the refund. Moreover , very crookedly, they simply don't offer you the option to reject their counter offer. These guys should be reported to IRDAI and pulled up for deficiency in service. Save your time and money. Go with another insurance company.
Please don't buy a policy with Niva Bupa, all their promises are betrayal. Such a worst insurance company I have ever seen. I renewed my insurance for 1 year just to understand more about their policy terms and benefits. But it's a trap, worthless.
This is the worst experience i have ever had they cancelled policy then non stop calls for unnecessary installalments which we already cancelled ppl should report against the company
Rate Zero I bought the Max Bupa Policy to get extra comfort and flexibility and paid higher & extra premium compared to other policies. I was told that I would get Health check up complimentary ( restricted to very few tests depending upon your age slab)...You are asked to select a medical centre from the list provided to you from your neighbourhood, which is unheard of places...the preliminary idea of getting a excellent & class medical centre is shattered here..and we are forced to select a some unknown ones. Next shock, you have to write an email to the company of your appointment time & date, and they will send you the voucher with the printed & fixed conditioned time & date of that centre by post or courier. By that time it reaches you, any of you or your family has any other change in personal schedule, you cannot change it. Its gone... the time is gone. One has to go through the entire process once again. The company believes it is giving all this complimentary, so we are not to say anything, we are slave to their policy conditions since it is free.. We as customer, know the free cost is included in our higher premiums. Next shocker, shopping vouchers ! The so said free shopping vouchers are not coming to you as it is. You are supposed to select the brand you want to shop, and give the outlet's details by email. The voucher with the outlet's & the brand name will arrive at your door step in next 10-12 days.. By the time you want a particular item from that brand, if it is not available by now ( after 10-12 days), the voucher is good for nothing or you end up buying unwanted as your next choice. The process is there to re-apply again...but why can't they send simple vouchers with value printed and ask us to select from the list of dealers they give? Sorry, its free, so no help! All free things from them cannot be questioned for the logistics attached to each free & complimentary services..! I dread to think of my family if it were to really claim medical insurance during my hospitalisation. I will recommend readers or intending purchasers to ponder a bit and research and then buy the policy (with freedom and flexibility) offered by Max-Bupa.
